Rubicon Homes has partnered with Guerdon Homes to provide multi-story, multi-unit custom projects. Though this unique partnership we can build projects of almost any size, to any level of furnish or to meet a specific budget.
In addition to the similarities to site built construction; there are also a few differences when looking at Systems Built Construction:
- Exterior walls are 2x6 vs. traditional walls of 2x4
- Drywall is glued before it is screwed down vs. traditional screwing or nailing
- Once the subfloor is placed down it is sanded to eliminate any ridges vs. standard subfloor and protective construction paper is placed down for the rest of the project.
- All of the trades work for the same company which ensures the following:
- You only have to go to one company to get a lien release.
- One company is responsible for the end product.
- One company to deal with in regards to permitting of your project.
- No need for temporary power or construction fences. When the home shows up, it is able to be completely locked by the end of that day.
- Less overhead is needed to manage the physical construction, which allows Rubicon to charge a lower fee.
- Quicker completion of your project means a shorter finance costs and quicker access to capital for future projects.
Why Rubicon?
Rubicon has invested the time and the resources to become an expert in the latest in Systems Built Construction and will be responsible for:
- Coordination with the engineers (foundation & Structural)
- Working directly to determine schedules, & other terms with the Guerdon Homes.
- Arranging for transportation to your project.
- Coordination of the crane including proper sized and stage
- Relationship with subcontractors who are familiar with Systems Built
- Licensed installers
- Onsite representation during the set to deal with issues as they arise including direct access to service tech’s from the company if required.
- Preferred scheduling and reduced pricing based on Rubicon’s relationship with Guerdon Homes.
- Direct connection and follow-up on any warranty issues.
- 10 year structural and 2 year systems warranty.

- Marketing support and research on LEED, Energy Star, and Systems Built Construction.
